Write for us
Emerald Perspective welcomes considered pitches about residential interiors: the decisions, materials and visual relationships that help readers understand a room. Send proposals through the Contact page, rather than submitting a full draft without agreement.
What makes a strong pitch
Name the subject, the reader's question and the specific point your piece would explain. A useful pitch has a clear scope, a distinct angle and a practical takeaway, such as a way to compare layout options or read a material choice. Tell us what sources or expertise the piece would rely on, without making unsupported claims.
A distinct contribution
We look for original work that fits the publication's focus and offers more than a list of trends or products. Explain why the subject merits an article and how you would keep the advice relevant beyond a momentary fashion. Disclose any relevant commercial interests or relationships in the proposal.
Before sending
Use the Contact page and select the editorial option. Include a working title, a short outline and a brief note about your approach. Do not send confidential information, unpublished personal details about others, or material you do not have permission to share.
A room is a set of choices
Start with what the room needs to do, then look at the details that help it do that. A clear plan beats a pile of attractive things.
